Dead Horns
Dead Horns
Both of my horns have recently gone out, no warning, no volume fading etc. I only noticed the issue after I did my clutch, control arm bushings etc. so I'm wondering if I missed a ground or caused some other problem while I was in there. I pulled the bumper and checked the connectors and they seem fine, I also connected the horns directly to a separate battery with one sounding normal and the other just clicking. I checked for voltage at the connectors and got nothing significant from either side and the fuse is fine. I don't hear the relay clicking, and I'm not sure how else to check that. My only other thought is something to do with the steering wheel connections. I pulled the trim pieces with the horn buttons and everything looked fine. All of the other mfsw controls work fine so I'm wondering if the horn connectivity is separate from the other controls? Is it possible I damaged just the horn connectivity when I had the steering column disconnected to drop the subframe? Any ideas would be awesome as I'm quickly becoming overdo for my state inspection...
