Help with CEL codes? evaporative emission system

Last night the little yellow light came on, I scanned and got these codes
P2419
P2400
P2401
P2418
They all were related to " evaporative emission system"
I cleared the codes and they haven't come back
Any ideas??

P2400 - DMTL Activation Control Circuit Open
P2401 - DMTL Activation Control Circuit low
P2418 - DMTL solenoid Control Circuit Open
P2418 - DMTL solenoid valve, control activation: Open Circuit
P2419 - DMTL solenoid Control Circuit Low
P2419 - DMTL solenoid valve, control activation: Short circuit to ground

I beleive you have at the leak diagnostic pump, and the EVAP solenoid valve as seen below. Gas cap cause one but not usually all of those. Just my opinion.

if it is the pump, it may be extra warrantied, a while back i got a letting saying my diagnostic pump was warrantied for a while beyond the regular factory one. (though i don't know if mini would even bother checking if you cleared the codes) so if it happens again, might be worth a call to the dealer

I have the same 4 codes on my 2010 Mini Cooper, just tested the Purge valve and it works
perfect, How often does the Leak diagnosis pump go bad? Could that be it?
I plan on using my vacuum pump to test the entire system to check for any leaks
Anybody else have same problems?

I had the exact same 4 codes on my 2010 Mini,
The wire to the Leak diagnosis pump was damaged by the clip on the rear
trailing arm, it was shorting out and the wire was exposed.
I pulled apart the harness and found the hole, it easily pulled apart because
the wire was broken and the copper was green!
I soldered a new section of wire in and protected it with heat shrink tubing that
I filled with Di-electric grease to prevent future corroding. Then taped it up like
the factory so it looks normal, except I did not route the wire through the
trailing arm kit! Fixed!!!

Wire to leak diagnosis pump

Dear Mr. Blakeslee,
Have experienced the same set of codes and CEL illumination and was gratified to see your post. Where is the leak diagnosis pump and how might I find the wire leading to it? Thanks in advance for any info you can send my way!

I'm trying to remember what exactly happened because it was fixed at the dealer under warranty, it had to do with a wiring harness that had rubbed up against the frame of the car and shorted one of the wires resulting in those fault codes. It seems a few posts up somebody else had the same issue

The leak detection pump is in front of the right rear tire.
remove the access cover, trace the wire from the pump to the
trailing arm and there you will find the problem.

Peel back all the electrical tape until you find the little black dot or the
wires showing.

Good luck!

Jeff

Just had the same problem in my 2007 MCS. The Tie wrap that was closest to the Leak Diagnostic pump about 4-5 inches from the plug is too tight. The only way I found it was by unwrapping the tape. On my car the white/red wire was rotted/rubbed through. and the brown.blue wire was starting. FYI, I diagnosed by disconnecting the pump, then clearing the codes. When they came up again after a start/stop/start cycle It was a P2400, P2418 codes. No P2401 or P2419. That would be the first thing I'd check if these codes come up.
