Can someone help me with the OBD?

I accidentally did not turn the gas cap all the way which led to the check engine light coming on. I was hoping going into the test menu in the dash, I could either get the code and/or reset it. I got a code 672800 under the test number 14. I cannot make heads or tails as to what this number refers to... diagnostic trouble codes are supposed to be 5 digits. I did a reset of software under test 21, but this did not eliminate the check engine light. Any help would be appreciated.

It might go off by itself after a couple restarts. You can also buy a scanner, or something like an ultragauge or scangauge to read the code and clear it. Or swing by an autozone or similar to read and clear the code. It's usually free. Or go to the dealer and be prepared to pay them a $110 diagnostic fee.

I think it will go away on its own given enough time and as long as it really was just the gas cap.

If you go to an auto parts store, you might be able to use their OBDII reader to reset it too. I have a USB to OBDII cable with BMW diagnostic software from eBay that can also read codes and more, but the computer setup to get it working is admittedly pretty involved.
