hello HRM...
it was leaking the transmission fluid from the driver side...took out the shaft and found this...
now i am thinking the car was worked before,a guy once fixed the leaking fluid from the transmission 2years ago and he used some replacement part
...the dealer says mini has nothing like this...
can it be axle seal part number 23117550058? Left hand side

is that not the output flange seal? Perhaps the plastic was upgraded at some point? If it is a bearing then I would expect roller bearings and a cage to seperate the inner and outer races, which does not appear to be the case...
flange seal bro?
is there an OEM part number for it...never heard of it....i see in minimania...looks really alike...
i think i am getting close

Chevy uses an axle seal similar to that on the 3/4 ton trucks. Its a sleeved seal. It presses into the case then onto the axle shaft. My bet is someone has replaced the OEM seal with that. Where they got it from or why they used it I can't tell you but if you replace it with the OEM seal I'd bet your leak would go away.
Does this help from realoem.com

Its #8 in the pic listed as Shaft seal.
