Has anyone had their Sunroof Sunshade rattle? Mine has started rattling over any bumb in the road. If I put my finger on the roller mechanism it stops. I can feel the play in the roller assembly.

Was wondering if anyone has had this happen and if you were able to fix it.

 

My previous MINI did this eventually. Dealership put a little sticky felt to stop it but sounds like your issue is a little different from mine.

 

My rattles is a structural failure of the sunroof frame. I fixed with with 3M DP420 2-part epoxy.

I sure wish a little sticky felt tape would have fixed mine!

 

Took the glass out and put small pieces of material under the mounting points of the rollers. Just by inspecting the mechanism its obvious that play has worked into the plastic over time. It flexes and over time it wears down the plastic just enough to allow it to rattle.
Quiet as new.
