Secret Compartment is Stuck - How the heck do I get it open?

Not sure what happened but I can't get my Secret Compartment open. When I press it down it starts to open and get's stuck after like 1/2 inch. Anyone have any experience with this? Appreciate any help. Trying to resist the temptation of pulling on the lid

Try a flimsy credit card around the edges. Hope mine does not get stuck. I have secret compartment stuff in there!

I opened up the lower (glove) compartment but there is no access. It looks like the liner in the lower compartment can come off with a few screws but I'd rather not play with it unless I just find no other way to do it.

I'm going to try a rubber/plastic squeegee tomorrow to try and pull it up but its pretty damn stiff so I'm not sure its going to do much. I ran out of patience earlier so hopefully tomorrow there is some hope.

New wheels came in, can't get the damn wheel lock key out of the compartment to pull off the locks. ... The only time I've needed it

Perhaps some abrupt driving maneuvers and braking. This could shake the contents of the compartment around. I'm just guessing that something inside has shifted and is jamming the lid closed.

^^Yes! I recently just had this issue too though it was fixed and replaced in 2009 it randomly came back. Anyways I gave up and during a 20 minute highway drive to SuperWalmart, some bridge expansions and I was able to normally push it to open it. So I'd say give it a slight pounding to the dash above it.
