Do you have pics of the Engine light? The turbo gets bypassed if the vehicle sees a problem with then engine. The light bulb out light, could be a license plate light bulb, it gets looked over alot. Also, when you start the car, try to be aware of what you are doing when the light comes on.... like pressing the brake, or switching the lights on, or putting it in reverse.....

check your oil level, and check your timing chain tensioner, it could have backed out. Also, look at your vacuum pump, at the drivers side end of your exhaust camshaft, if the finish is looking like its peeling or flaking, then you will need a vacuum pump, the will make lots of noise.

The N14 engine in the R56 is just plain noisy. Check the oil level for sure. The tensioner issue is pretty loud, alarming so, but goes away after 2-3 minutes of warm up. You'd know if this was happening.

If you find no bulbs out, you may want to go around and check to see if someone has put "aftermarket" bulbs in. LEDs often lead to the warnings and I have heard of "extreme white" bulbs giving the same.

Where are you located? If you are in the Tri-state area I could check it out.
