Help! Stuck in Orland, CA. 450 miles from home

I will try it in here... I need some help everyone.... I was on my way home to Eugene, OR. When I pulled over got some gas in Orland, CA. I got on the on ramp to I-5, was up to 40 mph, and than it started to run funny Got the check engine light checked, it was Misfire in #3. I pulled the plug and it was Dark. The shitty thing is I changed them 1 1/2 months ago. I put new plugs in and its doing the same thing. I now thinking maybe a bad fuel injector?

My question is, does anyone around know where I can take my MINI, The closes big town is Redding, CA. About 50-60miles away. Anyone from there that knows a place. I going stop by a garage here that the guy from O'Reiley told me to stop by. But they are not MINI shop.

Please help with any advise. Need to be back home in eugene by Tuesday

Thanks mike

I don't know if this is helpful but if you go to www.minirepairshops.com and type in your city it will list out a bunch of nearby mechanics that work on minis.

Ya, I just found 2 in redding. I hope the guy here will be able to fix it. Since its friday. If not will have to tow it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

could it be Bad Gas? I only had like 2 gals left when i filled up. I went back to the gas station, the lady said no problem before. But IDK.

Did you perhaps fill it with diesel? How far after the fill-up did the misbehavior occur? Good luck ...

About, 1/2 - 1 mile. No I didnt fill it with diesel, but went back to gas station and the pump I used had, gas and diesel. I know for sure I had the right nozzel and hit premium. But now thinking if the pump f*cked up.

Try Guido's in Chico (about 20 miles from Orland) 530-891-8313, or EM Sport (530) 894-2003 also in Chico

Or try http://www.o2motorsports.com/ in Redding. He knows MINI's inside and out. Steve is the owner and has a GP plus a bunch of classic's.

Found the problem. My MSD coil pack went bad. Its wierd since I change my OEM coil pack last sept. Less than a year old. So I having my plug wires changed to.

Going with a different coil pack, since no one has MSD here. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their MSD coil?

MSD coil supposedly don't rust. It's odd that #3 failed like that.
