Shutting off the TPMS ,for winter ( how )

I just removed my alloys for the winter ,I installed a set of steelies with snow tires. The Steelies don't have sensors so the indicator on the dash is showing low Tire pressure . Is there a way to disable this function so that when I have my snows on I don't have to look at the warning light . Any help appreciated, 2007 Mini Cooper S..,6 Speed

in the cdn version you can reset for a different wheel circumference, but I don't think that is an option for you. we don't have actual sensors inside the tires.

I have no suggestions on the TPMS light. Where did you get the steelies?

There is already a thread on this in the Modifications>Electrical Section.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...able-tpms.html

It will give you all the info you need to know.

But the easy answer is it is not a normal user adjustable setting.

While the pipe solution is an option, wouldn't you have to remove the sensors from the alloys? If you are going to that much effort why not just put the sensors in the steel wheels? Or maybe buy another set of sensors?

Yea you have to take them out... The problem is multiple sets of wheels. It either buy another set of sensors, or live with the light... I just was going to remove them from my other wheels when I ditch them come spring (hopefully). Now I am currently running my winter setup. It would be a PITA to put those sensors in the winters, then again in whatever new ones I get, unless I never plan on running anything else after that, which is possible.
