rattle rattle

this is my first winter with my r53 up here in alaska and im paranoid about my engine and how its going to deal with the cold. lately i have been hearing a rattle noise in the engine, but only when its in neutral. and it gets louder when i rev it. i push the clutch in it goes away. i drive around i dont hear it. throwout bearing maybe? other suggestions? or is it just upset about the cold and it will feel better when the midnight sun is back? im hoping for the best but any light you can shine on my dilema will be most appreciated.

Common problem, related to the flywheel. I guess people say the dual mass flywheel is shot and is now clacking against itself. Not really anything you can do about it except get another one. Waiting for my clutch to fail before doing that.

Does anybody know if the same issue comes back with the newer OEM versions? Will the chubacca noise come back as well or have they changed the part slightly so that won't happen?
