My Satellite radio died?
My Satellite radio died?
Hi all,
I have a 2010 Cooper S with factory Sirius satellite radio - I switced it on yesterday but it appears to have gone on the blink ! It just flashes 'aqquiring signal' -any ideas anyone?
BTW Everything else is fine, I-Pod,Bluetooth,C/D and FM/AM radio.
Just a s a sidebar: I recently had a windshield stone chip / scratch repair repaired by a mobile glass repair vendor , he used a high speed buffer with a pumice or compound to polish out my scratch ,is the satellite antenna or connections to in or near the windsheild and vibrated something loose perhaps?
I'll take it in as it's under warranty but just thought I would check if anyone on here had experienced a similar problem first.
Thanks and happy Thanksgiving to all!

..No only had it since August and bought new - you can hear the weather channel on 184 plus Sirius ads audio when subs run out anyway ( I hear nothing)
Thanks though!
Thanks though!
The sat antenna is at the base of the radio antenna on the roof. The cable runs under the carpet, under the front seats and from there to the receiver. It does not seem like the windshield repair could have any impact. Maybe the antenna cable came loose... either at the connection under the passenger seat or at the tuner itself.
