Shaking in reverse this morning

Hey all. Long time no see.
So I put Violet in reverse this morning to pull out of the parking spot and she shook. That's never happened before. Anyone have any ideas? It's been colder then this and she didn't shake. So I don't know what the problem could be.

Was the engine missing/running rough or do you think it was a transmission issue?

Hard to guess from your limited description, but was something blocking one of the wheels?

And auto's don't have a flywheel in the same sense as a stick shift car, but they do have one. And no, I doubt it was that either.....

I truly don't know. I don't remember it running rough before I put it in gear. I guess I'll have to pay close attention and if I continue to have problems, I'll have to bring it in.

I've had this happen before with the pads freezing to the rotors and not releasing when the emergency brake lever was put down. Creates kind of a jolt and makes you think something broke.

I didn't try when the car was warm. But I did notice today that when I slow down, I feels jumpy when it downshifts. I don't remember that before. But now I'll probably notice everything.

I had shaking and stall happen a few times in my car. Even though I have a non-turbo, I had stalling just like the High Pressure Fuel Pump issue experienced by some of the turbo engines. That could be your problem.

I've had the fuel pump replaced and the car was re-programmed because of the warm start issue. The car hasn't been shaking since that day so I don't know what it was.

One of these might help:

I've noticed mine rocking around a lot too. I'm thinking about one of these soon. I also have an automagic. (but not an S.)

Thanks. I want to open up where the air filter is. Someone I know had squirrels use his MINI as their magic hiding place. I want to make sure they aren't doing the same with mine.
