Sun Visor Problem

I have a small problem with one of the sun Visors.

When you open the little flap to see the mirror, it won't stay in the open position and falls half closed then the light goes out also.

Is their any way to fix this or will I have to replace the whole Sun Visor ?

Anyone who may have a suggestion please let me know.

Thanks in Advance !

I have found some replacements just in case we have to change the whole sun visor.

Penske, Mini Mania, All Parts Mini, all carry replacement sun visors...............

My 2006 MCS has the same visor problem. Of course I did not realize it until 4,000 miles out of warranty.

Replaced the passenger visor a few years ago, now just ordered new
passenger and driver side ones yesterday (about $65 each plus shipping with
NAM discount from Classic MINI in Ohio).
The flaps over the mirror and the hinge mechanism don't hold up very well.

Hello,

Just an update, we are seeing some of these parts go nla and we don't have another option in the aftermarket. Had a bunch of people place order and call in about these.

So if you can get them availble on our site, buy them. Otherwise you can reach out to junk yards.

Sad but we are seeing some of the Gen 1 MINI stuff go NLA more.
