hydraulic motor mount bad again less than a year AGAIN! UGHHH will the mini dealer cover this having done the job less than a year ago, possibly bad part? dont they guarantee their parts and or work for a year?

My local dealer told me any part they install has a 2 year warranty. Call them up & get it fixed.

 

I just called my local dealer as well and the warranty on replaced parts is 2 years.

My second one failed now 2 weeks OVER the 2 year date and they won't cover it.

I may go with TSW mount...

just made the appointment. Im sorry to hear you were not covered O.C.! if its 2 years whats the mileage that goes along with it? 10,000? 20,000? unlimited ?

 

I don't think there is a mileage limitation for warranty this part.

FYI, my first mount failed at 23K miles, second one failed at 55K. Based on my NAM research this is typical. I just ordered the TSW motor mount from WMW.

 

Yup...OEM MINI parts have a 2yr warranty...make a stink!!
Heck, even if you bought it online....it still has the same 2 yr warranty if you installed it DIY. Simple...the part should be free...but the labor may/may-not be covered.

 

I would just buy the TSW mount. I have 19k on my cabrio, and its already leaking. I won't hesitate to buy the TSW...more cost effective i think.
