I purchased an 02 Mini used with 108K miles and discovered it had 7 previous owners. I suspect the car going into safe mode and getting towed probably pissed off each owner completely. I have scanned several sites and forums and have seen many suggestions from DIY mechanics. I have checked the connections on the computer, the wiring harness, the accelerator, and changed the throttle body (which was a stupid waste of money). Does anyone out there have a shop manual procedure to diagnose and pinpoint the source of this error code? Thanks
