Passenger Side Window is SLOW..

I've noticed that my passenger side window rolls up MUCH slower than my driver's side window. I've been talking to some friends who say the driver's side is supposed to be faster because the drivers side is used more for drive-thrus and getting parking structure tickets etc... but I'm not convinced... wouldn't MINI want to just use the same motor for simplicity sake?

The difference is a good 4.5 seconds between the two windows. If this is something unusual I want to make sure I get it looked at before my warranty expires.

Let the window racing begin!!

Both of mine on my 08 clubman go up at the same rate.

I do not understand your friends arguments. Why would going thru a drive thru make me want my window to go up faster than the passenger side window. That explanation makes no sense to me.

I've notices a one, maybe two, second difference, but nothing like 4.5 sec. Can't hurt to ask your dealer about it. Might be something binding in the mechanism.

The windows on my '08 Clubman go up at the same rate. By your friends' reasoning, MINI (and every other vendor who sells LHD and RHD versions) would also need the opposite window motor config for RHD markets. The motor is probably binding up somewhere.

Hi. Did you get this problem fixed? I am dealing with an identical issue and the dealer claims other 07 MCS models do it so it's normal??? It's not a convincing explanation at all.

My 07 r56 does that too... I don't think its 4 second difference though, but I still don't like it.

Both of my windows are slow. They go at about the same speed, though. It's still irritating. I've never seen car windows that are this slow. I could probably crank a manual window faster.

My passenger window is about 1 or 2 seconds slower than the driver's side. I always found it a little odd but it hasn't bothered me to the point where I want to take it in to the dealer.
