Door rattles found

We have a new 2010 MINI cooper S. I've been bothered by some rattles since day one and it's driver side. I think that I just found out it's driver side door panel (first thought, I thought it's from rear seat belts).

I linked the picture. I have a 2008 MINI cooper S and she had rattles from #2 but it's been quite long time. Our 2010 MINI has rattle from #1 and I checked for loose a bit but there is no loose. When I heard rattles I push the #1 then the rattles are gone...

Have you guys have similar experience with these rattles?

my 07 was quiet but my 09 rattles in those exact locations. If i put slight pressure on it the rattle disappears.

Yup. Take it to the dealer now and get your money's worth with the factory warranty. These cars sure make a lot of racket, especially in the cold weather.

I have a 10' and not a squeak or rattle anywhere, even with the H/K cranked. The doors are buzz/rattle free.

My dealer installed a door rattle kit for me. It is a bunch of felt tape in certain areas and thick felt squares that go over every pin of the door panel. My door speaker was causing an AWFUL buzzing sound with people's voices. It was so bad I couldn't even listen to the radio at all. I hated driving the car!

Then that darn lock pin buzzes, too. I took some of that felt tape and wrapped it around it when I had the door panel off. That took care of it.

That and the dealer fixed the upper console rattle (internal trim ring not connected) has really quieted the car down.

Thank you for your replies. My 2008 MCS is pretty quite, but wife's 2010 MCS has only that rattle so far. I may visit dealer sooner or later.

My wife's 2009 with only 3,000 miles on it has rattled at location #2 on the driver's side door since I drove it home from the dealer.

I figured I would wait until the first service to have it addressed.

Good to know about the "rattle kit", I'll ask about that before I bring it in.

FWIW the passenger side started doing it as well, but it's mainly a driver's side issue, if you press on the silver trim towards the back it stops rattling.

I drive a Mazdaspeed Miata (5 years old), if you can't stand rattles don't buy a convertible!
