My Nightmare is finally over (for now)

I purchased a 2008 cabrio sidewalk in May. After a few weeks, the service engine light came on, it went into safety mode and I brought it in. Turns out a fuse (number 13) blew. Repaired. A few weeks later, same thing. Bring it back....one month later, they had to replace the transmission and wiring. I just got it back today. Mind you I am leaving out a ton of details. When I read the service receipt today, it was wild. Wires fusing together, fuses burned out, wires caught under the tail light on and on. Now it was under warrenty but on the service receipt that you have to sign when you get your car back, they had the cost of repairs ....Ten Thousand Dollars!!!! They put ten thousand dollars worth of parts and labor into repairing this brand new car.

It drives great, although they did forget to repari the rubber strip that was coming off around the edge where the roof come down. No big one there.

NYC Mini was great I will say. They gave me a brand new bmw as a loaner and they also threw in the OEM windscreen for my troubles.

Hopefull this will be the last major event for me

Whew

They did offer a new car, but the issue for me was that I got the sidewalk cabrio...and they had no sidewalks or even convertibles to offer me.....just the hard tops ..They dont start up the rag tops till february. I bought the sidewalk for a reason andI wanted that particular model. Hopefully this is truly the last of it.
