I've used that same trick to stop a rattle in two '89 Ford trucks. Used bottles of Rain-X and wedged 'em in there, heehee.

I even painted my rod support graphite metallic to match my anthrasite interior.

sounds like you have just a FEW rattles, Sarcux any ideas on how you got more than anyone else? do a lemon check on your car, just in case-you may find out WHY your car goes 'bump squeak squeak squeak' in the night--and day

Now I got the same rattle noise comming from the top vent on the dash board. The dealer replaced the speaker and fix the rattle in the passenger side door, but now I got another one.

Mine rattles on the dash on the passenger side. I can put my hand on it and it will stop but then it will start again as soon as I take my hand off. Never really got into see what was making it rattle. So for bein lazy my fix it was to turn the radio up .

i have the dashboard and the glovebox rattle... it seems like they both occur even the slightes bumps on the road and when its cold. it goes away when its really warm in the car (like the auto ac set on 70 degrees)... so when i go to the dealer the car would be warm already and the rattles would be gone and they'll just dismiss it since its gone! but i'll mention about the service bulletin you guys are talking about . also, anyone have the steering wheel making noise? some sort of some friction noise everytime they turn the wheel.

My 05 developed the dash rattle, and both door rattles within a few hundred miles of each other

I'll probably take everything apart in the Spring. There is no way I am going to even try MCM service.

From the "WD40 & Duct Tape" department

My hearing has definitely become more acute since the MINI was delivered!

I am Way In Tune with the sounds (or for the Zen-Inclined amongst us, at least in my case, the "absence of rattle" - that's akin to the "sound of one hand clapping"?) that my new toy makes .

I'm sorry (in a not-sorry sort of way) that I haven't heard any rattles - my fingers will remain crossed - I'm ALMOST through with break-in (and nothing is broke-n lol). I'll definitely holler if something comes loose, to let you know "what's shakin". LOL I am on a roll with the puns, or what

At -30F both doors rattle, but a sharp smack makes it go away for awhile.
Getting new outside door handles soon, another issue, and the tech. says he has a rattle fix. We'll see,let you know when it gets done.

I have the dreaded dash vent buzz & the door rattle on the driver's side. Funny though, temp was 60 today & didn't notice them much but tonight it's 45 & they both are back. At least with the top down, I don't hear them. C'mon Spring.

my '05 mcs had rattles and squeaks within the first few miles of driving. i contacted my MA immediately to let it be known. the passenger's door panel, the piece between the driver's window and windshield, a minor rattle from the tach and speedo. it's very annoying, but i hope to have it fixed very soon. or i'll just get the loudest exhaust and intake combo
