I have a question about the timeline of when the start of onetouch windows on the R56 model. Clubmans? Am I delusional or did all of them have it? IIRC it was about mid 07 that it started, but figured that a poll of the owners themselves would be pretty accurate.

I believe it started with the new (current) body style. My older 06 cooper did not have them but my new 08 MCS does.

Yes, but not the very early R56 cars had one touch up...it started after early production, just don't have the month pinned down.

 

My Sep 07 build did not have it but my current Jun 08 does...

 

My 03/08 does!!

 

Yep, same with my Sept 07- IIRC the auto up windows started at the same time as the USB port, I don't remember if they were built or delivered Jan 08 though.

 

I got a semi official word today that it was Nov. 07

 

the one touch windows started with the 2008 Model year R56. The 2008 model year began in week 49 of 2007.

 

But, there's only 52 weeks a year....

 

So is it a programming thing or a different module?
