automatic door locks
Anybody know how to reprogram door locks? I use my MINI in business and open the hatch 20-30 times a day, it's a pain to remember to use the central locking switch. Don't want to go 100 miles to dealer.
With the key not in the ignition, hit your unlock button to unlock the driver's door, then hit it again to unlock the passenger door and the boot.
If you're asking about either turning off the automatic locking of the doors at 10mph (or whatever), you have to have the dealer do it. Mine came programmed so that I had to "double click" the door handles to unlock and then open the doors. I was told I could have the doors unlock when i turn off the car, or just not have them lock. I chose the 2nd option.

They didn't charge me for it. It's a "comfort feature" whereby you are supposed to be able to choose your preferred functionality.
I've heard of some dealerships trying to charge for it. My opinion is that if Desert isn't charging for it (a simple 30 second computer reprogram), no-one should be.

 If after you take delivery and decide that you want something else or something changed, then they tend to charge....
