A month ago I spent the entire day at BMW of Nashville adressing a driver's door that would not open. The diagnosis, a cable came off. Okay, weird, but fixed, right? WRONG! The door with a mind all it's own is back! It will open from the outside, but rarely from the inside. Have any of you experienced the same dilemma?

We fortunately have never had this problem in our '02 Cooper CVT. It seems to me that the door pull latch cable is either broken or came off lose. It looks like a half *** installation job in part of the dealer to me.

Maybe you should try another dealer? Doesn't seem to be a hard job to do correctly.
