Though possibly there could have been residual blue coolant that mixed and reacted with the green. I'm running straight distilled to flush it out and will be going blue from here on out.
You're very welcome. Glad that information was useful to you. Good luck with the process and if you need anything be sure to let me know.

systemshock - Flush it out several times and get it changed back to the blue coolant, mix with 50/50 distilled water. It might take a couple times to get it all out.

Is this the best product to flush and clean out the cooling system? Over the last two years I’ve began to notice the brownish slime buildup in the coolant reservoir. I just hit 150k and I’m about to replace the crossover water pipe, so this will be a great time to flush as well before I refill. Also, how many gallons of distilled would you recommend I flush with before finally refilling with coolant?

2 full bottle of MINI coolant mixed 50/50 with distilled water will do it and have some leftover. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...82140031133kt/

Run its till you see clear distilled water if you flush it without new mixed coolant. Then flush out with mix till you see the blue coming out one end. Like doing a brake line flush.

DEI works good: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-dei-part...sh/040202~dei/

So is this stuff: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-liqui_mo...00ml/2051~liq/

Check them out and read up, go with what you prefer.
