Tire pressure light

About a week ago I was driving along and the low tire pressure light started flashing. I had a low tire. So, I reset the system while driving.

The next morning, I inflated the low tire. I forgot to reset the tire pressure system, so the warning light started flashing again. No biggie. I attempted to reset the system while driving. I have done this a few times before. The light stopped flashing.

Now, the low tire pressure light just stays on. I have tried resetting the system several times using the button under the e-brake. According the the manual, this indicates a fault in the system.

Is there any I can reset the light? Disconnect the battery?

Is there any way I can check for the fault?

2003 MC, no DSC, waaaaay out of warranty.

I just called the local BMW dealer, they won't even look at my Mini. If I can't fix this myself, time for a long road trip to the dealer :(

I just started a new thread not having done a search first. I had the same problem on nearly the same day. My light hasn't come back on though after having pushed the button too. My dealer is a trek away too.

I had that problem with my 02 Mini, but the ABS light came on as well. The tire pressure was a little off, and my brakes needed work. How do your brakes look? You may need some work on those, and it was just a coincidence that your tire was low. I took it to a local garage (as the closest dealer is 2.5 hours away) and they fixed my brakes and reset the lights on their computer.

Brakes are newer. I replaced them earlier this year.
