mataku,
The new MINI's remote is VERY strong, press and hold should not be a problem. But, it would be nice to also have the quick lock and ulnock to sequence to work also, that would be quikcer (press 2 buttons and walk away while the mini does it's thing), and save battery juice on the remote.

The passenger seatbelt warning bypass has been added to the list, thats a valid and good change needed.

What else?? I need this completed soon so I can get MINI working on them!!!

I would like to see Mini eliminate the throttle cut off with brake application. This is very dangerous is you are throttling at high speeds going around a curve on the interstate, If you happen to be slightly resting your foot on the brake and throttle cuts off, you could easily spin if its wet. I see no benefit to having throttle cutoff with brake application.

OK, OK, I'll come clean. I want to eliminate it so throttle cutoff won't happen during racing/autocross. :-)

First of all, I seriously doubt that all manufacturers have the same "codes" to activate or de-activate different stuff.

Second of all, I would LOVE to see someone do this in real life. I think it would be hilarious to see them in their car furiously buckling and unbuckling the seatbelt! LOL!

The Bluetooth does a good job of importing my numbers from my phone which is a Microsoft Smartphone. It would be great if the nav system imported the addresses as well.

Hm... is this only true at speed? I haven't received mine yet and am new to driving a manual transmission, but my plan was to sort of do a little heel-toe with extra on the brakes at hills to prevent roll back, but if this is true it won't be possible.

Exactly what I do now, double press and walk away, if it changes to holding, I"m not sure if i'd be interested as I might have just held the buttons in the car if I"m going to have to wait around anyways.

Did you option yours with either the sport package or DSC on it's own? If so, then the car will do this for you.

This was a temporary thing, not permanent and the sensors should be able to be reset in this instance. For example, a newbie learning stick will almost stall the car often, making the emmisions higher than normal for a second or two each time. He doesn't need the emmisions sensor light coming on, and staying on becuase of it. He shoul dbe able to "reset it/clear it" via the software.

I didn't, spent the 500 on LSD instead. I figured I could just do this heel toe thing and I will be okay, but hopefully the throttle cut off thing won't be an issue.

Check with your dealer. I believe this has already been taken care of with a software update as mentioned by Grassroots Motorsports.

Me... I wish they'd ture the ECU and elimite that little hiccup around 3000RPM. It's slight, but the dip in power & torque is there. It's be nice if they could smooth it out a bit.

Perhaps the JCW Stage I mod will take care of this. It would be shocking if it didn't.

Actually, I don't think this issue was resolved. I think people were getting the DSC re-activation confused with the throttle cut-off. Although, I'd be overwhelmed if they did cure this obvious performance issue.

Advanced radio features don't work right

One of the advanced radio features that supposedly pulls down the "type" of radio station, (educational, travel, drama, etc.) does not work in that it says my local rock stations are "travel" stations or "education" just prior to switching the display to the call sign and/or the song titles. It's not always consistent, either, and should be fixed. The local service manager had never seen that before - but, he admitted that he had never looked or heard about it.

Is that a problem with the MINI software, or the station not sending the right info with their broadcast? My guess would be it's the station.

That is a problem with the Radio Stations, NOT the radio. Around here (LI), more than half the radio stations just say "LOCAL" cause they don't broadcast the digital info. Stupid!!

Anyway, I remembered another change in software needed, I'll add it to list now!!

Navigation: Add a Search ALL POI db function. Currently you can only search for a business name by knowing what sub-catagory it is filed under (Recreation, Business home services....) OR what town it is in. I would just like to search for a name like "Lighthouse Canvas" and find the closest one. Yesterday I was trying to plug in this canvas place I was on my way to, and couldn't find it udner what I thought it would be. I later found the listing in another catagory. If I could just SEARCH them ALL, I would have found it ALOT faster.

+1

I'd like to see that change as well.

Thanks a lot, i think i'm running into the last few days before I can't change my order anymore, this would be a serious issue as i'm worried about roll backs. I do live in the plains of the midwest, but being new and all.

The anti-rollback feature requires the DSC option (which is an excellent safety feature, BTW). The way it works is:
To initiate it you have to have both the clutch and brake pedals depressed while stopped. Then you can take your foot off the brake and put it on the gas. The brake continues to hold the car for 2 seconds. This allows you time to apply gas and let the clutch out without rolling back.

So, change your order and get DSC. Its main function is to help maintain control of the car when it starts to drift. This could mean the difference between staying on the road vs. ending up in the ditch, hitting a tree, going off the edge of a mountain road. It could also mean the difference between hitting another car, or not.

If you are getting an S, you should get LSD. Heal-and-toe cannot do what LSD does. When accelerating hard, LSD will transfer power to the wheel that has the most grip. So, it does the most efficient job of getting power to the ground without wheel spin.

For rollbacks, you need DSC.

Thanks for the suggestion, what I was refering to for the heel toe thing was for the prevention of roll back. I figured i could just hold my brake a little while I push the accelerator at a hill, this would pretty much have the same function as the DSC holding the brakes for 2 seconds, but it would just be done manually. I dont know if I have any more money, so I would probably have to give something up for DSC. If anyone could check this out for me, it would be really great. I don't have that many options so removing something will be difficult.

Similar to this: For the satellite radio, I would like it to scroll the Channel Title, Artist, & Song Title in the display. As it is (on the non-Nav version), you have to press "Track" to get the Artist and Title and then scroll the **** down to view everything. You then have to "Exit" to get back to your pre-programmed channels. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Also, an additional 6 programmable channels would be nice. 12 is not enough.

Anyone going to send these suggestions to MINI or are we just going suggest things until we are blue in the face?
