I was at the dealer today checking in on some parts ordered and we ran my cabrio through the dealer's wash. On the way home, there was a new rattle ...after investigating the source, I found I could stop the rattle if I wedged my finger inbetween the driver window and the roof rail.

I have not gone back to the dealer to explore this issue...was just curious if anyone else has encountered this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I would have taken my car back to the dealer right away. Could have been caused by some malfunctioning part in the carwash - to much pressure on the roof rail or something??? You might not find anyone else with this problem since it was caused by a carwash and not daily driving. Can't really help you too much here...take it to the dealer!
