Our resident guru, BradB, highly recommends Quality Window Tinting on Manchester.

http://qualityglasstint1.reachlocal.com

They did a great job on my car. 35% around - 20% on the sunroofs.

The oil markings on my driveway in this attached picture are from my Jeep -- not the MINI. The Jeep likes to mark its territory...

I've used tintcrafters on two cars with good results. The one on manchester will give what ever % you want too. They did my whole car in 5% and my windshield in 50%.

Thanks to both of you. I contacted Brad and I'll get together with him when my new MINI comes in.

I also went to quality on machester...they did a great job on mine. 35% on the front sides and 20% on the back sides and rear. Had to stay with legal...to chicken to get pulled over.

Mark, I understand the Jeep oil thing, I traded my Jeep for Gunner before I lost him. Best move I could have made the jeep would not have protected my like Gunner did in the accident.

My new MINI is in for production, the countdown begins. I'm getting a RG/RG this time with chrome mirrors. I can't wait for him to get in and to see you all at the first event after that.

Thanks,

Scott

I traded in my Jeep for my MINI too. Hmmmm. Seems to be a trend. =P

And my MINI came with very slight tinted windows, and I like it that way. =P If you tint it too much, how can everyone else see how happy you look driving your MINI?

I agree about the happy looks from within MINI. I probably tint the rear three windows just to keep the heat out along with the sunroof. I'm not going to touch the door windows or the windshield though.

Thanks,

Scott

Krenzkes, congrats on the new mini... can't wait to see the newest addition to your family Are you back from the east coast already, or are you still being tortured by the mini drive-bys?

My husband has also used Quality Window Tinting on Manchester quite a few times. He has been very happy with the results. We will be taking my mini there for tints sometime soon.

Thanks Mr. Pep'r. I talked to Kate at MINI of St. Louis and she said the new MINI will be coming to St. Louis the first week of Aug. The count down is on. I'll go to Quality Glass Tinting when the new MINI is in but have to get invisishield first. Thanks, look forward to meeting you and getting together with the rest of the MINI club members after I get the new car.

I had Quality on Manchester do Spike's windows a couple of weeks ago.... they did a great job. I copied Adam Ferguson's scheme.... the tint on the sunroofs makes a HUGE difference.

FWIW, stay away from The Tint Co in Eureka.....he is a nice guy but he never follows up on requests for tinting. It is always 'phone tag' and 'let me call you back', the job never gets done. The guy is a flake and I am tired of trying to deal with him. I just wanted to give our local business some work. But they do not want it .

We have an appointment Tuesday at Quality.

Mr Pep'r

What was your tint ratio and how much did it cost.

I know exactly what you mean by "looking meaner". I had my first MINI's windows tinted by Quality - excellent job. However, a local police officer evidently didn't like the look since he zapped me with a ticket:impatient . So remember Rob, it is against the law in Illinois to have tinted windows on the driver and passenger sides regardless of how "mean" it looks.

FYI, Quality Glass Tinting on Manchester is moving.... to Vance Road which I think is in Valley Park. Just saw the sign as I was driving by today.
