Balducci Winery Run 2006

SAINT LOUIS MINI CLUB FOURTH ANNUAL RUN TO THE LOUIS P. BALDUCCI WINERY
SATURDAY, AUGUST 19TH AT 11:00 AM ---RAIN OR SHINE

This year we will depart from the parking lot of Ruby Tuesday located at the intersection of Highway 40/64 and Highway K. (Exit "9", 3 miles west of the Missouri River bridge). Go north on K to the first traffic light (Technology Drive) turn left and you will see the group laying in wait. There is a Cracker Barrel, Starbucks, Quick Trip, and Mobil at this intersection if you want to come early for fuel for the body or MINI.
We will then run out to the winery on a mixture of some roads you have been on before and a few new ones.
Rick & Carol Balducci will provide us with special parking, and all MINI owners (21 & older) will receive 50% off their first bottle of wine. Bring a picnic or they have very nice, reasonably priced food to purchase. They also have micro beers for sale and soft drinks. The covered picnic area and live music make for an enjoyable day in the beautiful Missouri country side. This winery is a family friendly place, bring a kite or frisbee, but no animals please.
Many attendance prizes, a raffle for a very special car cover worth $379.00 with proceeds going to "Stray Rescue of Saint Louis" (raffle tickets are $10.00 each or 3 for $20.00), good twisties, good food, good wine, good friends, what better way to spend an afternoon.
Please RSVP to lois@stlmini.com so we know how many placards to order. We will sell them for $4.00 or $5.00 ea.
Last year we had 44 cars, let's break that record.
Dont' forget a camera & a GMRS/FRS radio if you have one.

That was our first event with the club last year, and we had a great time. Looking forward to another fun day this year.

Got it on the calendar!

I actually have family members thinking about buying MINIs so they all can attend -- all of them can't fit in MY car.. Or maybe we can arrange some friendly carpooling to spread the sickness, um, I mean, JOY!!

This is a highlight of the season. I hope to see a great turnout!

Oh, and put me down for a placard!

The winery run was great last year --- Missouri actually has some good red wine---not too sweet.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make this one.

Count me in with a placard, CHECKS looks for any excuse to get out on those curvy roads.

We're in Dexter so either route would work for us, too.

Balducci Winery Run 2006

My wife and I are planning to attend, as this is the first year we've both been available on the correct day! Put us down for a placard and we'll see you there! (If Adam F. will be there, I can finally pick up my meatballs! - we are going to try to make the Bobby's event in Maryville this Thursday, so could make the exchange there as well). Thanks for continuing to organize all the great events!
