Recipe Up For Grabs
Darn, I have other plans that day, but if anyone wants a copy of the recipe for my award winning "PIT STOP CHILI", let me know.
It sounds like a fun day.

come on guys, this is going to be a fun trip! there are about 10 cars coming from the mid-south miniacs - we are very excited. and we'd love to have some competition for the event! they have even created a "mini" class!
I'll do it if I have off that day, and if things go right, I will not have to give up my weekends ever again to that soal sucking evil!!

If we are home that weekend, we will try to attend. (Our first club event!) Guess we should be there since we only live about 20 minutes from Malden!
Gromit is looking forward to meeting other MINI's.
If we could get some info about what time everyone will be passing through the area, we will join you enroute.

I will be emailing everyone who has expressed interest with the details. It's not too late to join us and meet up with our Memphis buddies, taste some chili, & of course look at MINIs
Just email me at lois@stlmini.com

We'll be leaving St Louis at 8:30. I figure it's about a 2 1/2 hour drive. So let me know where we might meet you. We'll be traveling down I-55. Lois
The trip to Malden was great
Thanks to the Memphis Club for taking us under their wing
The car show was fun, 20 MINIs in all. The chili was ,well, it was chili
Congrats to Linda & Steve
for winning the "Came the Farthest" trophy
Also thanks to Gromit's parents for showing us the hills & twisties of an otherwise very flat countryside

Thanks for the congrats Lois - Maxine definitely deserved the "Farthest Distance" trophy.
We added 508 miles to her odometer between 5pm Friday to 9:30 pm Saturday night.
That last 226 miles home was very tense
as we kept seeing "Bambi's" sleeping along side the highway, and we sure didn't want to be the ones that would increase the "sleeping" population.
Had a Good Time motoring through "Cotton" Country.

I wana know how fast Sunny was going when I left you at the turn off to the highway. I know you stopped to put the top up/and or/ take off the your numbers. I was doing around 80 when you finnally caught up to me. It was funny, after about an hour of not seeing you, I see these little lights coming up behind me, (First car to be going faster then me), and I was saying.. 'That kinda looks like a MINI's lights. I wonder if its them. Nahhh can't be.' And I move over to let them go. I see a big #6, and a hand waving as ZIPPPP they speed on past.
And Bean not wanting to miss some fun with another MINI, just had to zipp right back up and play. =)
Hella good time yesterday! I got a little too much sun. Am a little redder then I was, but still good. And I still say Bean should get the 'Best of Model Year' for the MINIs there. OK sure, he was the only 06, but hey, that counts.

Jene and I had a great time yesterday! We're glad we got to meet some of our fellow club members, as well as the Memphis MINIac's. Gromit enjoyed seeing so many other MINI's and showing them around his territory.
Here is the first attempt at the group photo. I hope to be able to blend the photos better, but will have to get a better feel for Photoshop first.
