We'll be out of town too. But we went to one of Brad's detailing events 2 years ago & it was well worth it.

Hmmm, not sure we will get into that much detail on this event. With as many people as we expect it's hard to get into that. We should get together on it some evening at my place.

Hey brad...i went to this last year, and had a great time and learned a lot. I am going to try to make it again this year. However, i had a question. I was wondering if it would be alright if my best friend came with his RX-7, because i've already showed him everything I learned last time, and he has some issues that i do not know how to address. If not he will probably just ride with me.

RX-7??? Well, ok. Just kidding! There will be a lot of "foreigners" there!

Be sure to RSVP.

Here is a note from our host:

[font=Courier][size=2]All,

Thank you for signing-up to participate in the Tips & Tricks detailing event on Saturday May 14th. This event is always a fun and enjoyable experience.

The goal of the day will be to help convey the important tips and tricksthat make your car look better than showroom new. And more importantly, learn how easy it is to maintain that Concours appearance. It does not necessarily take extra time...the right tools and techniques make the job a success!

Due to the large number of participants, please plan on bringing a freshly washed car. We will have the opportunity to wash some vehicles but will certainly not be able to accommodate everyone and we would like to utilize the time to work on the cars rather than wait in line for the hose.

Tentative Agenda

9:00 9:15 Welcome and introductions

9:15 9:45 Proper wash & dry techniques

9:45 10:30 Cleaning paint with clay/Engine compartment cleaning

10:30 11:30 Polishing and waxing, using a Porter-Cable orbital buffer,

Mothers Powerball demo.

11:30 12:00 Rubber/Trim/Vinyl/Convertible Top Care

12:00 1:00 Lunch, question & answer time, door prizes (we'll have food, water, soda).

1:00 1:30 Fixing dings with factory touch-up paint.

1:30 2:00 Wet sanding, the dark side of detailing.

1:30 2:30 Problem solving, Q&A, work on the cars.
