I think I caught a bug...
...the OCD bug.
I have a black MINI and I am slightly obsessed with keeping it clean. This is going to drive me crazy! I usually wash it about once a week, since every time I do it seems to rain shortly after.
Do you guys have any tips or tricks you use to clean up rain spots and light dust without washing the whole thing from top to bottom (and drying it with a spray "wax", and doing the windows, and.. and.. and..)
I've gotten my routine down to about an hour for everything, but I was wondering if maybe a waterless wash would be useful? I am a bit leery of them with the black paint, it doesn't need more swirls than it already has. Tonight was the first time that I washed it and it hadn't even been a week since the last one. This is getting out of hand.
I just love her when she's sparkly though.
Any ideas? TIA.

Hello again. Visit Griot's Garage at http://www.griotsgarage.com/home.do
Pay particular attention to 'Spray on Car Wash' and 'Speed Shine'.
There are videos on the site showing how to use them. I've been using Griot's (even visited the home offices and showroom in Tacoma) for about 7 years and love the stuff. The Speed Shine is fantastic for in between washings. Takes about 10 or 15 minutes to do the whole thing.
PS: Some call it OCD. Obsessive compulsive detailing.

I use Adam's Waterless Wash or Rinseless Wash and a double-soft detail towel. Great videos and forums on their site.

+1 on Griots and their speed shine. Griots products here.
Just spray it on a cool clean car and wipe it off! It can also be used on trim, wheels, and exterior plastic.
