The Saint Louis Mini Club invites you to the eighth annual run to the Louis P. Balducci Winery located in Augusta Missouri. This event is a fund raiser for BACKSTOPPERS, a local fund that supports the families of Police, Fire Fighters, and EMT Personnel killed in the line of duty. Last year we raised $1600.00 for this worthy cause.
This years run will start behind the Starbucks located at Highway K and Technology Drive, right across the Highway from Quick Trip. The drivers meeting will be at 10:00 am, followed by an exciting drive out to the winery, where we will have reserved parking and our own covered picnic area, and 50% off your first bottle of wine. (21 and over). We hope to see you…..rain or shine.
Never been to this event before, then ask anyone who has attended and they will tell you it is a must do event. Last year 64 cars from all over the Midwest attended, we hope you will make it this year.
A few of the items in this year’s raffle are: MINI Roof Rack w/ touring Bike Holder, Dinan Cold Air Intake for R53, Model Cars, Mini Books, Dinner Certificates, Stay at the Ritz, Badge Holders, Key Racks, Coat Racks, T-Shirts,Miscellaneous Mini Motoring Gear, and of course a MINI Cuckoo Clock. This is just a few of the items, you won’t want to miss this raffle, there is something for everyone.

To help you locate our starting point for this year's run, set your GPS to: Starbucks, 4581 Highway K, O'Fallon, MO 63366. This is just north of Highway 40/64 on Highway K. We will be in the lot behind Starbucks.

Shoot. I love this run. I'll be busy taking a pretty tough written and physical test that morning. Doubt I'll be done in time to even catch the tail end of the event.

Ginny and I are definitely in, especially after having to curtail our plans to do MITM. I'm ready for some fun driving time!!

 

the balducci run, how long does that last? we have a wedding at 2pm. Hopefully we'll be able to do the ride and enjoy some of the picnic.

 

I can not speak for the entire MINI group from Iowa, but Britney and I will be coming down on friday to venture around St. Louis and go on the Balducci run. We came down for this last year and was a BLAST! Can't for the run this year.

 

It'll be great to see you guys again! With any luck, this year we can avoid getting caught behind someone that thinks that an apex = a braking point!

 

That sux. This will be our first run and can' wait. The wife is supper excited. I think almost more excited then I am.

At this point, we're not doing anything that I know of. Ginny has class in the morning, but we should pretty much be free after noon or so. If you guys want to go out and grab some dinner, we've discovered some pretty good places since last year. Drop me a PM and we can figure something out!

 

We hope to hit the road by 10:30, the run is 46.4 miles this year, I found some new roads to motor on, a lot of nice twisties. I think you have time for the run and if you can't stay for the raffle, we can hold your tickets for you.

 

The route has been set, and it is a good one, 46.4 miles of Missouri country side, with some twisties, some great elevation changes, and then a few more twisties. As you know, if you have been here before, and if you haven’t, shame on you, this run is all about fun.
Where else can you visit a winery and get your first bottle of wine 50% off (for 21 and older), they even have beer, and the food is really restaurant quality. As always The Balduccis’ will give us reserved parking, and this year we will be in the big barn so we will have more room to enjoy the day.
Have you ever spent the weekend at The Ritz Carlton, in St. Louis, well one lucky person will win a weekend there. Mini mugs, picnic blanket, cups, caps, umbrella, bull dog pillow, coffee cups, flashlights, cuckoo clock and way too many other official MINI items to mention. Oh yea, the roof rack with bike holder too. Many restaurant certificates, t-shirts, key racks, and more. If you have anything you would like to donate for the raffle, be sure to let us know. All proceeds from the raffle goes to BACKSTOPPERS, last year we raised $1600.00, lets see if we can beat that record.

For those of you who may have forgot & for all our new members, Balducci Winery is NOT dog friendly!! So the pooches have to stay home for this one. And I think it's going to be way too hot to leave our pooches in the MINIs.

ARGH!! Found out tonight that Balducci is out for us...my family is having a get-together in Illinois the same day, and it's not one we can really skip out on. We were REALLY looking forward to it, too!

On a positive note, I did mail off my registration form for the St. Louis All-British Car Show today!!

 

We mailed our, too! Gimli hasn't been in a Car Show yet. See you then.
