For the rear brake pad/rotor change, you do need to take the entire caliper off to get the rotor off. You also need a disc brake caliper kit from Advance or Harbor Freight. This tool will let you retract the rear brake piston which rotates because of the parking brake connection. It's really easy with the tool, very hard without it.

The disc brake caliper kit I showed at the event works great. Here's a link.

I'm going to come up this week with my wife's car for a service to St. Louis so I think I'll drop by Harbor Frieght and pick one of these bad boys up. I also have O'reilly Auto that will loan it out. Thanks for the information.

Oh no, I missed it! I plan to join and am bringing my MINI to Mark for an ultrashield tomorrow! I am looking for someone to install the Parrot 3000 evo kit from Mike at NewMiniStuff. I am afraid to mess up the Mini if I installed it myself. Does anyone know someone capable of installing this?
Thanks Much,
Tinpan Harry
