MEET GIMLI!!!!

As some of you may know, I have had my share of issues with my Cabrio over the years At the Club meeting last week, we laid eyes on a handsome Clubman S He was begging to be adopted While at the same time, Sunnie was in the shop again Mark came home Tuesday to find me in tears about my beloved Sunnie So we bid her farewell & we want to introduce "Gimli"

A BIG thanks to Matt & Mike at MINI of St Louis You did us well

So here he is, a fully loaded Clubman S Now if I can just keep my foot from being so heavy

Sweet! Congrats on the new ride. Jene will probably want to ride with you at the Rallye.

BTW: Love his name.

I'd be more than happy to give her a spin

Gimli is the Druid Warrior from Lord of the Rings. He is brave & courageous. It is also the name of the small town where Mark lived in Canada The name has mythical, Icelandic history.

You wouldn't know where I could find a Viking antenna ball by any chance And I don't mean football

We recognized the name from the Lord of the Rings, but didn't know that's where Mark used to live. That's cool!

I'll look around for a Viking antenna ball. It would seem like someone would make one.

Congrats on your new ride! Hope it gives you many miles of motoring pleasure throughout Middle Earth and elsewhere. The namesake implies that your MINI will be strong, fierce, noble, loyal, and never intimidated.

(As you can tell from my sig, I'm partial to the LOTR reference )

FANTASTIC

I knew you were hooked when you saw it at the meeting last week, you both had that twinkle in you eye.
I checked into a Viking antenna ball and it turned out to be an ICE CUBE, don't know if that would work in the midwest.
Cheers,

GIMLI - meet your Illinois cousin "RUPERT" - I suppose they have already met as they were both at the dealership when I picked him up on Monday.

Nice Does Rupert have a sunroof? Can't tell from the pic. I drove a JCW Cabrio at the Club picnic & I'm afraid Lt Rex would be doing a whole lot of "undercover" work if I drove one Can't wait to see Rupert in person

Congrats Lois!! the Clubman looks great. Sorry to read about Sunnie... you need another BRG Cabrio in the future... How about a roadtrip to CHGO so we can get a look-see of Gimli

Rupert does have a sunroof, and it's open every chance I get (kinda miss the Cabrio open air feeling). I'm sure we have plenty of Lt Rex's around here who are just waiting for me to cross that line , but I'll be good

I took Gimli to work today to show him off, and besides everyone really liking the whole Clubman concept, mostly 1/2 ton/SUV drivers, everybody mentions the colour

We're going to put the CLubman to work in December hauling our "Toys for Tots" collection. Did the car come with overload springs? Dan

Sunnie was only on MINI of St Louis' website for a week I'm thinking she was sold So if anyone sees a BRG Cabrio with crazy gold stripes zooming around St Lou, let me know. I hope she went to a good home
