New color?

I was out in our Mini over the weekend & saw a new Mini convertible. I did a double take because of the color. I can best describe it as a light heather bluish pink plum with a black rag top. Was really sharp. Has anyone else seen this color? It was in St Charles. PS, it was not cool blue. It was on Elm st, going west to 370, at S Duchesne. Love the color, so different. NJP

Sounds like you might have seen a Cool Blue cabrio, one of the discontinued cabrio only colors.

Was not cool blue, Mishka. Like your orange color, wanted to buy that color but was out of date. m

Don't know what color it would have been, then. I've got the dealer books for each model year and that was the closest I could find to the color you described. Maybe it was a custom paint job. (If that's the case, you need to find it and get a picture. Inquiring minds want to see. )

New Color

That is a great idea, Mishka. I'll start taking my camera with me & even better, if I see, when I see it again, I will stop him/her & get the color name. N

Hard to picture this from the description. There has been no factory color that is remotely pink. How about Nightfire Red, maybe depending on the light? It's pretty rare. Like this.

Maybe it was "purple haze" another discontinued color. It looked pinkish purple in certain lights.

New Color?

No, it wasn't purple haze either. The way I would describe the color is.....medium lavender pearl. Definitely had a pinkish hue and it was high noon, sunny. njp
