Vacation MPG
37.1 MPG
On the way back from Minis In The Mountains, crossing Kansas we were getting 37.7 mpg. Lots of mods, air was off, good tones on the MP3, and big smiles on our faces.............Minis In The Mountains will do that to you, not to mention great gas milage! Maybe Uni-Chips claim that it improves gas milage is true?????

Just wanted to double our fun as they say: "Double your pleasure, double your fun, drive two MINI/Minis instead of just one"
Cheers

In July I took the Family to San Antonio from DFW. Cruise control set on 70 (ish), AC blowing cold the whole way - on the trip down I got 37.1 mpg (actual, not OBC), and on the way back I got 37.8! I was more than a bit pleased with the old '03 MCS!
...BTW, SeaWorld is WAY too hot in July (Duh)!

I was surprised w/ our MPG when my wife & I went to Ouray, CO. over Labor Day weekend.
I drove to Ouray & got 34.1 mpg never going over 65mph. She drove home to Colorado Springs & got 34.5 mpg & was usually in a lower gear / higher RPM than I would have used..... Never had the AC on the whole weekend.

Late May we made a run to the coast (Destin). Got just shy of 39mpg on the two tanks going down, and first coming back (averaging 76-77mph). Just north of Birmingham, I got in with two vehicles at 95mph up to Nashville (~150miles). That tank dropped to 33mpg... but it was worth it!
Don't get why you all get that good of Mileage, even in the S's. All that I have done to my S is one ball mod, 17% pulley, and aFe intake. Even with new plugs in it I can only get 25mpg on a tank. I can usually only get 250-275 miles on a tank. I usually just drive in town a couple miles at a times but even when I drive to work it is 70 miles 1-way and I set the cruise at 75-80.

We got 43+ mpg on the way down to the fall run. Then on the way home, with the run included, we got 37 mpg, pretty good for a Clubman S
.
Total trip was about 350 miles, highway speeds of 75-80 mph, and some pretty hard going for the 100 mile run.
