6th Annual Balducci Winery Run Sept. 20th

WINERY RUN UPDATE

This year’s Saint Louis Mini Club 6th annual run to the Louis P. Balducci Winery is fast approaching. September 20th is not far off.
The route has been set, and I can tell you, you will have a fun 33 mile drive on some familiar roads, some new roads, some old roads but run in a different direction, all in all, you won’t be bored, I can guarantee that.
As in the past Rick and Carol Balducci will provide us with a special parking area, and all MINI owners (21 & older) will receive 50% off their first bottle of wine. Bring a picnic lunch or they have outstanding food to purchase. For non-wine drinkers, they offer several micro brewery beers, and of course soft drinks and bottled water are available. Winery rules don’t allow any liquids to be brought in and NO pets please. For more information on the winery go to www.balduccivineyards.com.
We have some outstanding prizes to raffle off with the proceeds going to BACKSTOPPERS. Limited addition MINI WING posters from Out Motoring, a Cleaning & Waxing Kit, Master Micro Fiber Collections, wall clocks, MINI boutique items, car care items, with more items arriving every day. We will also have a large number of door prizes. I can assure you, that everyone will leave with something.
Rain or Shine, we will meet at 9:00 am and leave at 9:30 am SHARP from the Ruby Tuesday’s parking lot located at the intersection of Highway K (Exit 9 off of Hwy 40/61, 3 miles past the Missouri River Bridge) and Technology Drive. We will be off to tame the twisties and enjoy the camaraderie that owning a MINI brings.
Don’t forget a camera and a GMRS/FRS radio if you have one.

Sorry, can't make it this year. Forest Park Balloon Fest that day. Happy to see that the organizer/organizers decided to still have it. Have fun.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

The Saint Louis Mini Club Run to the Louis P. Balducci Winery is getting a late start this year but we will have the event. This has always be our biggest event with great prizes and it will benefit BACK STOPPERS as in the past.
I have acquired some outstanding gifts and will be getting more. Saturday September 20th
We will meet at the Ruby Tuesdays at the corner of Hwy 40 and Hwy K at 9:00 AM and will leave at 9:30 AM SHARP. This is a rain or shine event since there is plenty of covered seating at the winery.
I realize there are many conflicts with other events, but with everything that is going on in Saint Louis, on any weekend, it is hard to schedule without conflicts. Usually the British Car Show is on Sunday, maybe after the winery run we can drop by Creve Coeur Park and catch the end of their show or head towards the balloon race in Forest Park.
MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS YOU CAN E-MAIL ME AT zinful@att.net.
Cheers,
Doug & Donna Travis

Unfortunately I have two strikes against me for this year's Balducci Rallye - it's the same weekend as MidAmerica's Funfest (so I would not have a co-pilot) and no MINI . Hopefully Maxine's new owners will hear about this great event and let her join in the fun.

Have a great time!

You can also join us at the Balloon Race for a front row seat, free food & drinks. All you have to do is keep a few hundred thousand people in line

We won't have our Clubman yet. But, I'll tape the Mini order form to the front windshield of my motorcycle and hit the twisties with y'all if that's ok?

Sounds like a good idea to me - since I won't have my JCW by then either, I should drive our 4dr Jeep that has a "MINI on Steroids" sticker on it, but I'm sure you will all leave me in the dust

Sounds like a plan, you will get to meet "the gang" early.

I would love to be there, but have a wedding commitment. Is the date set in stone as it sounds like it does not work for a lot of the posters anyway?

I am sorry that you can't make it, but the winery only has so many open dates that they can accomodate us. Look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Haven't been to one of these before. How does it raise money for Backstoppers? Looking forward to having a great time since we have enjoyed MTTS and Bobby's so far.

We will have a raffle for some outstanding prizes to raise money for BACKSTOPPERS. Last year we raised $1040.00 and that amount was matched by an anonymous donor. So the club can feel really good about helping this wonderful organization. We will also have some nice door prizes. Usually everyone walks away with something.............it is a lot of fun.
The winery gives everyone, one bottle at half price and they have really good food, or you can bring your own picnic.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Cheers,

I'm still enjoying the waffle weave towel I won from a previous winery event.

Unfortunately, I will be out of town for this one.

Have fun, and take it easy one the way home.
