ST. LOUIS ONLY: Your favorite car wash.

I don't have a garage that I can wash my car in so I usually go to the spray wash on Kingshighway just south of Vandeventer/44. Just to be clear this is not an automatic or ride-through wash. It's one of those washes where you do it yourself with the sprayer and the brush (NOTE: I thoroughly spray out before it touches my paint).

So, besides your garage, where's your favorite place to wash your car in St. Louis?

I also do not have a garage. I like the Hydrojet on Concord Village right off of Lindbergh/Baptist Church Rd.

Thoroughly spraying out good. Letting that nasty brush anywhere near your car is BAD!!!!!!!!!!!

I drove into the Country Club Car Wash (which is an awesome wash), a couple days after I got my MCS and was immediately HORRIFIED!!!

The car drags all the way through it! This sucks! Now I have to find another one.

I use the one that you probably used (when you lived in the hood) over by Schnucks on Olive near Midland. I don't use the brush at all. I take my wool wash mitt with with me, as well as my drying and polishing towels.

I got rid of them for two reasons. One is they aren't painted and look kinda cheesy close up. The white isn't the nice bright white like the painted roof, but more of a dirty white like you see on molded plastic (which it is). The second reason is that I'm going to get the MINI Challenge side stripes and it won't look right with checkered mirrors.

I hand wash year round. If it's to cold for the hose at home, I go to a wand wash, with my wash mitt, and drying towels.

I can wash/dry/hydro 2 MINIs in about 1/2 an hour. Probably a little longer now that one of them is a Clubman.

I just bought my first bottle of Hydro last night. Washed the car and then out came the Hydro. Nice stuff!

"I hand wash year round."

I remember when I was a kid, my parents would make me was the cars, year round, both ways to school, uphill, and in snow this deep!

Okay............

Sorry, that was s stupid one.

Now I must go find some intellectual stimulation. Not that this isn't.......

Yeah, I remember having to go uphill in both directions to get anywhere, even though I lived in the flat a$$ prairies, where you could watch your dog run away for 2 days And for fun you got to wear the pants with the bottom of the pockets cut out, so you had something to play with

"you could watch your dog run away for 2 days"

Mark, I have to hand it to ya! That is the first time in at least 20 years that the beverage I was drinking came up and out my nose!

That is great!

I hate bump'n a thread, but is there anyone that has found a good car wash that does not DRAG the car along the guide? I want to find a full service wash for the low riding testosterone buggy before the weather gets bad!
