My MINI has eyes!?!?!?

So, as I was opening the boot today at the grocery store I noticed two little googly eyes in the Cooper badge. I obviously don't wash my car enough because I don't know how long they've been there ?!?!?!

You never noticed them before? All 07s have those.

I suspected as much . . . I can't believe how long it took me to notice them. I've been in the boot at least once a day since then.

Well, thanks!!!

I acquired some as well at the detailing day. I know it's meant well but when putting something on another person's car I really think you should ask. It was difficult to get one of them out and I was frustrated by the time I had to puncture it and pull it out with some little sharp tool.

I wasn't sure if it was even worth mentioning but I'll throw it in here since someone else got them.

I got a set too at the detailing days but was asked before the "Critical modification" was installed. They're still in there, I'll remove them before they get too yellow.

Mine eventually fell out through natural means. My cooper was a cyclops for awhile.

Have no fear, you will never be "blessed" again. It was done with no harm intended & I'm sorry those 2 little eyes caused you so much frustration It was probably NOT worth mentioning.

I, myself, had to smile when I first noticed them on my MINI. It's all part of the fun.

LOL
I agree that a gesture like that is meant in good spirit. If your nature is to look critically upon such a minor inconvenience, then you need an attitude check.

I got a set on my car many years ago at a Saint Louis event. And have made sure that I have some "installed" in my MINI at all times. I have a Clubman on order and it is the first mod that I entend to make. I took a bag of them home (right down the lane from where your car was born) and they were a smashing success. The eyes have won!!!!
Hello to all the Saint Louis MINI people, I am glad to see that some of you are still having fun. Others should stay away from sharp tools.

Bye Bye

When I first saw them I assumed they were adhesive and I was very concerned about the paint (yes, I know it's an incredibly tiny spot . . ), when I realized they were just resting in there I felt a lot better about it. My MINI is my most prized possession and I can understand someone feeling protective of their MINI.

PS Where do you get the eyes??

I WANT SOME EYES!!!

I'd have found this little addition very funny.

Now I'll be searching out all the local craft stores for just the right size.

Walmart!

It's been a St Louis MINI Club tradition for several years now. We usually have a lot of fun with it. Which reminds me, Sunnie is a cyclops at the moment

But as I said before, now that I have been chastised, if anyone wants them, THEY will have to ask me or one of my accomplices. I am probably one of the most protective persons in the Club about my MINI or anyone else's for that matter. I've been a member of the Club since it's beginning & would NEVER do anything to anyone's property to harm it. I've outed myself, apologized & promise never to touch anyone's MINI again!!!!!!!

I purchase some yesterday at Target. One pack with three different sizes. The mid size works well. It has the sticky stuff on it, which I don't have a problem with.

With the heat beating on the Mini that little eye ball jumped right into place. Just needed a little adjustment and a little push to stay in place. The sticky stuff was not over bearing so I'm sure it will be easy to remove and replace with others when it starts showing a little age. Yes, I have this little bottle of stuff that will take that sticky stuff off without harm to the paint if need be.

THANKS FOR THE IDEA!!!

The "Eyes" you can buy at Walmart in the craft section does not have the sticky backing.

The ones I use are just a friction fit within the O.

My googly eyes are several years old and all yellow. Lois or Doug, please replace them at the next event.
