Pully Party or best shop to install?
Pulley Party or best shop to install?
Are there any pulley partys planned in the near future around San Diego or LA?
If not .........which local shop would you recommend to do the work?
Thanks

Dale...if you are in Carlsbad, I recommend you join West Coast Coopers...they are a fun MINI club in the San Diego area. A bunch of them do their own mods...it maybe cheaper and closer to you.
There is also another guy a bit closer to you...in Laguna Niguel..DAI motorsports (949-364-0954). You can also try Brecht...they're a bit more relaxed on pulley mods since they do a lot of racing.
Best of luck.

Central Coast Coopers (805 - 487-4748) is a great shop. Scott, the owner has a MINI, is very active w/ SCMM and goes out of his way to make sure the customer gets the right mods for his or her needs. Scott has often talked me out of mods that he didn't feel were necessary. (This can't be said for all of the "tuners"). Scott usually comes to the first Saturday of the Month Coogies breakfast in Malibu. Matt, who does many of the installs is a "suspension" specialist. He installed my Koni FSDs to go w/ my H-sport springs and I am very happy with the results. BTW, their prices are very fair.
I too give a big thumbs up to Central Coast Coopers. Scott is one of the few guys out there that will let you test drive his MINI so you can judge for yourself before buying anything. He's a really good guy too.
Steve's Auto Clinic
Just to add my .02 cents but I went in this past Friday and met Steve and the crew and had a 15% pulley installed. I was impressed with his professionalism and had a pretty good time shooting the breeze with everyone there and even met some other Mini enthusiasts getting some work done. Ended up putting in an Alta CAI while I was there. He test drove the car personally to verify all was well, and is very down to earth, and no pressure.
