San Diego is $45 for the event, which includes: muffins and starbucks coffee in the morning, lunch and a soda, 1 or 2 bottles of water, and an afternoon snack.

You will need to be a BMWCCA member ($40) if you're not already. Join online, print the confirmation, and bring it to the event. BMWCCA will mail you a membership card (and their monthly magazine), but you probably won't get the membership card in time for the event. The printout will work as proof of membership though.
I'm not planning to drive, just spectate. (I'm a chicken.) My friend has his own helmet, and I think he'll probably be bringing it with him...

At the last event we pulled in a little after that and they were very close to making the cutoff for the number of entries.

Works for me. We can talk about it more at the South Bay event.

I too enjoyed meeting all of you yesterday. I had a great time and like Dave said, I was VERY disappointed at the timing. I did not find out we were only getting two runs until the start of my second run. I knew I got at least 1 cone on my first run and was planning to use the second run to lay a solid time. It was in line waiting for the run that I found out and was so (ahem) distracted that I forgot to switch off the DSC.... That cost me at least 2 seconds (no seriously, 2 seconds!!!!)...

All in all a fun day spent hanging out with a fun group.

Garth

I swear, cross my heart, even with my helmet on, that this was not a reflection off my windshield of how I looked crashing through those cones!

Thank you Dave!

For letting me share your car

That is true friendship!!

Can't wait until I get my wheels back....

I am very proud how we smoked all those other cars...

We both know Aaron would have beaten us, but anyone looking at those stats will see that your car is setup well.

As for our times, could have gone either way, I just had a tailwind

Next: November 4th in San Diego at Qualcomm

Next L.A.: December 17th at California Speedway.

It'd be great to have more MINIs driving and spectators are always welcome too. I wish it was easier to do ride-alongs here. Back in Denver the BMWCCA let you take out a passenger for your practice runs if you wanted to.
