I'd say both your Jet Black MCS and the Cooper are HOT!!! Dave is doing a great job getting more Cooper owners out there, especially since my next autox won't be in a Cooper.

do we still get the free helmet rental if this is my first "BMW" auto-x, and my first auto-x in a cooper?

I feel split... i want to baby my precious cooper, but auto-x is an addictive addictive drug...

well i actually already own my own helmet. :-) My only hesitation is that i have to purchase a bmw cca membership as well.

Another quick question, How many runs would you get on average? Are the courses much like solo2 courses ranging from 45 to 60 secs?

Thanks in advance!

I've done 3 events and all have been 11+ runs. The course layouts have been in the 60-70 second range.

Edit: of course some of us do it faster and some do it slower.

Hi octaneguy! long time no talk. So you will be there?? I would love an orange daisy, but I think I would have to stick it on my forehead since I don't own a helmet at this time. My car will still be in it's break in period, so I plan on spectating. I can't wait to meet some of you guys in person!

Yep definitely been a long time! Are you gonna attend our clinic this coming Saturday (October 7)?? Check out www.c3club.org for details.

I'll be there at the AutoX, will be my 4th event, or 5th. Hmm I forget, but I will be there in an MCS and no longer representing Team Justacooper. LOL

Hmmm, you got a month to do 1,200 miles, you can do it! LOL

I bought that helmet that Dave recommends. Was $149 I believe--I got it white and then put black and orange vinyl on it to customize it---after removing all the G-Force stickers. LOL.

Think I might have to sell it and buy a black one now!

Well, if all goes well I should pick up my car next week. It arrived at the dock last night at around 11pm. Someone posted in our wk 36 thread saying that he still hadn't received his car from the VDC and it arrived 9/20. I am a bit nervous that I wont get it for another 2 wks if that is the case.:impatient He said something about slow teamsters! Oh, and then I am taking delivery after it is trucked to phx. So, I will have 300 miles when I get back to LA. I just had a thought, what if I didn't get it until after 10/22? No, SB said early next week. I am going to stick with that.

Helmets.... definitely would go for white for myself. Compliments my skin color better! I am going to check out your clinic.

Yeah it'll be there next week! Think positive!
My first Cooper got delayed at the VDC for over a month---I was getting pissed about why all the MINIs on the same boat had been delivered except for mine--and finally someone realized their mistake.

We got a few members in the club who are just weeks away from getting their MINI, so feel free to stop by if you're in the area and still don't have your MINI.
