Deliver me to my mini

After months of waiting, my '06 PW/Black w piano int. & custom painted wheel arches, rocker panels, etc. (also Pepper White of course) is detailed & ready for p/u tomorrow at So. Bay Mini in Torrance. All my friends & family have to work tomorrow, so I'm condemned to another day unless another Orange Co. mini owner would like to motor me from Irvine to Torrance. You'll see a great mini and I'll fill your tank. Anyone? Anyone?

I don't know how far it is (not that familiar with SoCal) but have you asked if they'd pick you up?

They picked us up from the Burbank airport, and I know of other dealers picking people up for taking delivery (ie friend was picked up in SF to get car in Corte Madera).

In either case, don't forget to post pics

I'm curious as to whether you made it also. (I would've offered but I have a sick 4-year-old on my hands right now.)
Ditto on wanting to see pics.

If I knew where to find one, I would. (as my fingers are itching to get out and take MINI pics!)

Hey Guys,
He got it!! It looks SWEET!!!!!! Very nice with the painted fenders.
It is the first time I have seen the Piano Dash.

Maybe he's trying to find parking at the malls.

Got it thanks to Bar10Girl -- This is gonna be a little long but too good/weird to pass up posting. Karen picks me up at my place in Irvine (thanks again) and we're off (but I forgot something as you'll see). I check to see I've got my keys, checkbook wallet OK its a go. Get to So. Bay Mini & the car is out in front - gorgeous - the wheel flares and the rest of the black plastic front & back have been sanded, prepped, clear coated painted Pepper White & it looks great - MA took some digital pix & supposed to post here on Mini Talk forum. I'll try to take some more. It's kind of like an aero kit effect but with the regular grill - very good look on PW I believe. Continuing the black/white effect I got the Piano black dash & door bezels, anthracite headliner, chromeline - absolutely love it. Got the regular 15" holeys and have been trying to sell them here - now no hurry, I think they look great - still want to drop it an inch w/Hsport springs. Didn't get out of there for a while - didn't take my car so no proof of insurance, w/o which they aren't gonna roll the car. My office in in Torrance so call one of my partners - he offers to pick me up & take me to my office, where I think I have copy of the policy. He arrives, we take off - traffic is brutal - get to the office - he forgot his keys (and mine are in gym bag in my other car). Finally call my fiancee's son at home, have him go to car - get proof - bike to Postal Annex & pay to fax copy to dealer - after about an hour of scrambling all now OK. The car is such fun to drive even in 405 traffic - keep trying to vary engine speeds for "break - in" & that's ok cause the getrag 5 sp is great, smooth shifting. I'm struck that the Mini is actually somewhat more comfortable than my Audi TT - believe it or not the wheelbase is about an inch longer. The HK stereo sounds great, the heated seats got me toasty in about 5 min, & I can't wait to get throught the break-in period and head up to Lake Arrowhead on Hwy 18. Thanks again to Bar10Girl & all of you whose brains I picked these last 8 months or so. I think I'm really gonna enjoy motoring in this car.
