Hello MINI Owners!
I would like to invite you to join us on December 7,
2002 for the San Diego Scenic Drive Run. Participants
will meet at 7:45-8:00 A.M. in front of the Sears
parking lot at La Jolla Village Drive, corner of
Executive Way, San Diego, where the route map will be
distributed to all motorers.
This is a good opportunity to see San Diego's scenic
places, meet new friends, and have a fun day motoring.
The plan is to motor in a caravan of MINIs from the
La Jolla Shores to Ferry Landing in Coronado.
Reservation is made for our group at Bay Beach Cafe
for 11:00 A.M. December 7, 2002. Please note that each
participant will have to pay for their own lunch, just
remember to ask for the group discount of 10%. Bay
Beach Cafe provides the most beautiful view of San
Diego Bay, have access to the beach, shops and
boardwalk.
Attached is the web site of Bay Beach Cafe where you
can check out their menu in advance.

http://www.baybeachcafe.com/

If you are interested in joining us for this event,
for head count please respond to jceviche@yahoo.com

Let's motor,
jceviche

Coming from I-15 North, drive South on I-15, exit at Miramar Road,
keep right. and turn right. Drive 5 miles West on Miramar Road
go over I-805 then keep left. second traffic light after I-805 turn

It was fantastic, 24 or so MINIs, a great drive, a great luncheon, and great friends. Gotta do this again, soon. Thanks to Jceviche & MiniClo for ramrodding this herd! The weather was great, and the sun was shining! I'll post pics soon! Nice to see everyone, including Rick, Dave, & Luis from the first SD Mini Lunch a few months ago! Nice to finally meet MiniG, we've been talking on the Boards for months. Long distance award goes to the lads from Central California!! Bye for now...

BCNU,
Rob in Dago

I'm totally sorry, I didn't come down. I haven't been checking MCO much the last couple days so I wasn't aware of it. I will definitely try to make it to the next meet.

We all had a great time. John was a great host. Much thanks to him for organizing the run, preparing the handouts, etc. The weather was wonderful, and scenery stunning.
We probably sold more than a few Minis while we were at it! You should have seen the reaction from the locals!

Here are a couple of pics from the event:

Thank you so much, Johnny Ceviche, for planning such a fun MINI meet! It was a beautifully mapped-out motoring tour of La Jolla and San Diego, culminating in a fun lunch outdoors with a spectacular view of San Diego! WOW!

So many MINIs in a peppy processional turned QUITE a few heads in LJ & SD! Happy grins, waves and thumbs-up abounded all along our tour. Johnny planned the whole event with exquisite timing...we got to the Bay View Cafe exactly at 11 am and had a fabulous time visiting and eating. And we were blessed with beautiful weather.

My favorite MINI (other than MINIclo, of course) was CayucosSteve's solid Pepper White with a sunroof! That is a BEAUTIFUL MINI, Steve...congrats!

Okay....who's planning the next SoCal MINI Maniacs event? Let me know...and I'll be happy to help!
