There is a place in Huntington Beach on Beach Blvd and Talbert that did my VW Jetta four years ago and it turned out very well. It is still holding up with no problems at all. I am looking to have my Cooper done soon.

I had mine done at tint masters in costa mesa. You can look them up on yahoo yellow pages. It was $150 total for all windows. They do a nice job IMO.

There's also the place that does Crevier and Irvine MINI/BMW's cars...I *think* it was called D&B Window Tinting. It's only a few blocks north of Crevier BMW/MINI. Unfortunately, I gave their card to a coworker who got a new 3 convertible otherwise I'd double check.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I went to XLNT tint in Anaheim. A bit pricey(170), but it's for a lifetime warranty...

Mobile tinting in So Cal
I just had my windows tinted by DiamondTint. They are located in Mission Viejo and will come to your house. Took about an hour. Price was 130.00. Not bad for a lifetime warranty.

the number is 949-347-8468. The owner is Mike Bianco.

Window Tinting
TW Tinting, formerly DP Window Tinting. (Leo & Ken)
1516 E. Edinger Suite I
Santa Ana, CA 92705
714) 543 - 4677

Crevier BMW/Mini & Santa Ana Volvo use them for their "dealer option" tinting and front end protection. Lifetime Warranty, and reasonable prices if going straight to them.

Over the last 10 years I have had 3 BMW's, My mom's Prelude & 300M, my friends' various cars including an S430 & most recently, my MCS tinted (sunroof included) there all with excellent results.

Classic Window Tinting
I have gotten three cars done at a place called Classic Window on Tustin Avenue in Orange. Great service, quick job, and price competitive. For an extra $100, they will provide insurance so if you get a ticket for dark window tints, they will take the tint off and put it back on after you get your car signed off on, for FREE!

For those in north OC...or in LA County...try "The Tint Man" on Valley Blvd in Walnut (at Lemon). Talk to Nick, tell him Steve from DB Honda sent ya, he does all of our vehicles at our dealership, plus he did all of my co-workers S2000s(including the convertible glass). I would do my S there, but have Duragard tint applied at the Florida dealership that my car was orignially sold through.

That sounds about right. Where in the OC are you?
Just make sure wherever you go that they will guarantee their product so if you start seeing any fading or bubbles, they will replace for free.

I went to DP Tinting - it's what Crevier BMW and MINI uses. I had them apply their clear bra spray paint on my MINI as well. They are also implementing a new diamond fusion process on the windshield to add a little more protection against windshield dings and cracks by flying pebbles. I am going to wait and see how this holds up. I believe for tinting, you can pay them $20 to remove your tint if you ever get busted and then they will put it back on for you.

For tinting you can get the usual tint film...or you can upgrade to the ceramic film that also cuts down the heat....however, it is more expensive.

Check them out... http://ocautosites.com/DPTint/
Ask for Kenny Luna.

Best of luck!

A bit of a trek. DP tinting is just a hop, skip and jump from you...but I understand getting a good deal. You should be able to find tinters closer who offer the same price...just be careful...sometimes the quality equates to how much you pay.

I paid $900 for the clear bra paint job. I had the 3M film on first and I hated it - air bubbles and you could see the lines when dust got between the lines. Now you can't see the lines but I don't think it's worth the price. A couple of other SCMM'ers have the same clear bra paint and they love it.

Best of luck in your tint search.
