Hi! I'm looking to get a perforated UJ installed on my sunroof. I'm wondering if anyone knows of an installer in the San Diego/LA area.

I have seen mention of Modern Image, 8656 Production Ave., 858-408-0744.

From their website, they appear to be mostly a custom design and installation shop. I don't know if they would do an installation of someone else's graphics.

I had my UJ roof installed in 2004 by an individual in Kearny Mesa, but he doesn't appear to be in business anymore.

That's where he went! Steven Du is who installed my UJ roof decal almost four years ago. He did a fine job - not a bubble or peel on my roof even today. Recommended.

I got his number from Sandy at West Coast Minis, also highly recommended through them as well. I talked to him on the phone and he had no idea what I was asking for.

AuthiMini -- 4 years! Where did you get your graphic from? From what I've read, they only last 2 years.

I bought the 'factory' Union Jack roof graphic from Brecht. And while I don't know of too many MINI owners with roof graphics, I've never heard of any failing in only two years.

I do hand wash my car - I don't think roof graphics and whirling brushes in most car washes are too compatible.

 

Hey Ivy girl, keep us posted on where you end up going. I'm waiting for my cooper to come ashore, but I know I want a roof graphic, and will need to find a place to install in San Diego as well. Good luck

 

I just got my windows tinted my M&M Tinting in Escondido. We explained what we wanted and they said they would install it. As soon as I get it [from Cooper Flags], they said to bring it down.

No discussion on price just yet, but they did my 5 windows for $160, lifetime warranty.

 

I used Mr. Tint in Escondido. I got out the door for 180 with all 5 windows Limo tinted. Also life time warranty.
