I saw a red MINI Coupe with the license plate PR SHRK, I think that's it! Saw you last week, Wednesday to be exact, tried to catch up but my husband was driving. We were on the 101 South near where it turns to 170, personally I was on my way the the Mini of Universal City dealership.

Electric Blue MCS with a custom dark blue (paisley-like) roof with panoramic and roof rack. Had a custom exhaust and a personalized plate; "VONMINI". It was parked right next to mine when I came out of Trader Joes in Costa Mesa this evening.

Also saw reggie1 at LB MINI. You looked engrossed in whatever you were reading and my ride was sort of in a hurry. (They're keeping my car overnight until they get the part to fix my passenger-side door lock. it sucks being MINI-less.)

 

Had some fun this evening staying ahead of a Pure Silver MCS with black bonnet stripes from the Garfield Entrance in Alhambra going West on to the 10 freeway. I turned on my hazard lights as my wave since it was too dark to acknowledge!

 

I caravaned back from AMVIV with my c3 pals this morning and we stopped at Ontario Mills where I split off to take the 210 back to Burbank.

I commented how sad it was going to be to be driving without other MINI's for the first time since Thursday!

I searched along the way for another MINI and found a Chili Red MC on the 210 near the 605 - I caught up with him and pulled up behind him. He had a NASA sticker and an apple computer sticker in the back window.

We motoered together taking turns in front all the way to Pasadena! It was a great end to a great MINI weekend!!!

 

Saw the same MCS EB with white or maybe black roof (it was dark out and didn't see the roof clearly) on PCH heading north to Huntington Beach last night and tonight around 7:45pm.

We paced and followed each other until Beach Blvd and had a nice little cruise through light traffic. Good fun, got me in a much better mood for the night shift.

This afternoon around 5:15 . . .
CR/W MCS with white bonnet/boot stripes. Turned left from Norwalk Blvd onto South Street in Cerritos.

Later this evening . . .
Too dark to tell but it appeared to be Indi Blue. Exiting 91 frwy onto Knott Avenue south.

 

Yesterday between 3:45 and 4:20 I was in stop and go traffic near the Pasadena I-5 split following a splendid looking MINI, license GO KAART. It was the most time I have spent looking at a MINI. Unfortunately, it was all from behind. This MCS was silver and black, aero kit with rear "vent" in warm light metallic finish (almost "champagne"), unusually articulated tail lights mostly in chrome, bright web spoke wheels, JCW emblem, and minutely crooked exhaust tips (I wondered if the owner of this immaculate vehicle realized the tips appeared uneven when seen from several paces behind). It, KJAZ and a take-out order of ribs from Bryan's BBQ in Farmers Market made my otherwise frustrating journey more bearable. I love to visit LA, but have not yet become attuned to the traffic.

 

Today on the 10 West through San Bernadino, CR MCS JCW with white stripes and a PW/PW MC who joined me in a short convoy. What fun. I don't get to play with too many MINIs in Palm Springs, so this brought a nice smile to my face.

Today on Mira Mesa Blvd in SD around 2:30pm there were 3 of us: an 02 PS/B MC whose driver and I spoke at a red light, a LY/B? MC, and me. Seeing 3 on the road at the same time seemed to be attracting some attention from other crivers.

Also saw a LY/W MCS southbund on the 805 around 5:45pm in the Golden Triangle area. Too trafficky to wave.

Three in one day is a record for me in SD.

Not enough time to acknowledge each other though- downpour in progress.

After work (around 3:30). . .
Black/Black eastbound on Garden Grove Frwy just west of The City Drive.

1 hour later . . .
PW/B northbound on Norwalk Blvd. (behind a Cerritos Sheriff patrol car)


All were Coopers.

 

The other day I was getting on the 5 fwy near Anaheim and I was veering onto the fwy, and I was literally CUT off by a mini driver! He would NOT let me in, whatsoever, NEVER had that happen, I did wave, but not the hello kind! Buggar! I wave and honk all day at mini drivers, and I read this thread sometimes, and how people catch eachother on this thread, and I always wonder if I'm see through??? No one has seen me yet! So..... the first one to spot YACHIDA CR/W will get a free breakfast at the SCMM monthly get together in Seal Beach. This could be fun! I feel left out Juan, you can't play cause you know where I live. LOL, JJ

03/26/05 Octane Guy at 1:06 p.m. on the 10 East in San Gabriel right before New Ave exit. He had a few passengers in there.

 

I've been spotted!!!! Had my wife and 11month old son in the back heading to my nephews birthday party in Temple City!

I vaguely remember passing your BMW (he PM'd me that he wasn't in his MINI) at that point, but my memory isn't all that sharp these days. LOL

My passengers thought it was funny that two people who didnt know each other would waive like that LOL. One of my pasengers dont like MINI tho... first time hes been in one and hes liek you paied HOW MUCH FOR THIS CAR??? TOO SMALL TOO SMALL... He said he much much much rather get a Civic...
