Starting in Tempe (PHX suburb) heading out the 60 to Globe and then up to Show Low for lunch. Taking the 260 (many twisties) over to Payson. Depending upon time or desire, head back to PHX area via the 87. If we go North from Payson on the 87 we can catch the 260 again to the I-17, or take the 87 southbound (lots of cool tight twisties) all the way back into PHX. This will be a great run to escape the heat of the Valley of the Sun!

Keep checking back as additional information on a meeting point will be discussed.

That's a really good run too! I drove that two weeks ago! Good choice!

If I'm in town, I'm open next Saturday (7/19) for an impromtu fun run. Possible business trip to Detroit Wed-Fri...I'll know by Wednesday whether or not if I'm going.

The 26th my company is relocating its office, so I can't go then. Too soon for another group run...if we do them weekly it's easy to get burnt out and lose the joy of doing it.

They do have the autocross going on up at NAU. this Sat. & Sunday. Think I'll head up on Sat. just to watch some of the MINIS run.

 

Pat, thanks for getting Barney hooked up with us last Saturday. It wouldn't have been the same without him!

 

Barney's a great guy and a real enthusiast of small cars. I think the only thing that keeps him from getting a new MINI is that the dealership is too far away. Bet that will change when they come out with the MINI Cabrio. Once his wife finds out there is a MINI drop top, they'll have one.

On another note one of the guys with a MK I Cooper S is running at Firebird Friday nite drags. If I can get everything done early I'd like to put the New MINI on the lights.

I have been lurking.....waiting for a topic like this.
I have been suffering through this heat, and the lack of funds for
new modifications. I am getting so tired of driving a "stock" MINI.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
I just need some more flash.
