I have left a message with an employee of the company that owns the Bellair Plaza in Daytona Beach about meeting at this location. There have been several times where car shows and meetings have been held here, so I am confident that we will be able to gather here. I will post more info when I get it.

BTW, Holly is out of town, so I am finishing off the organizing of this event.

Okay, okay, so I screwed up with where we'd meet. BUT...I am NOT OUT OF TOWN!! LOL. If the Bellair Plaza doesn't pan out, I guess we could always meet at the park where we'll have the picnic. That way we could run the "ocean-side" of the loop.

Sorry for any inconveniences I might have caused... :???:

We will post information on where we'll meet ASAP...sorry guys.

Just a little North of the originally proposed meeting place is Ormond Beach Central Park at 601 Fleming. Does anyone know if there is enough parking at this park to make it a good location to meet?

I'm thinking it will be best for us to meet at the Gamble Rogers Park, on A1A. That way, those people coming from out of town won't have difficulty trying to find their way back to their hotels, the interstate, etc. I've got a call in to the guy at the park, making sure that once we pay the four bucks (or however much it is) we will be able to leave and re-enter, without having to pay again. And, if we meet here, we can hit Hightower Road, and run the backside of the loop. How does this sound??

If I remember correctly, its too small for a group our size.

Okay... WE WILL BE MEETING AT GAMBLE ROGERS STATE PARK. It's on A1A (link to webpage below,) and since we'll be ending up here...we had might as well start here! The park is on BOTH sides of A1A, but we'll be meeting in the part of the park that is on the westside of the road (by the intercoastal waterway/halifax river.)

So we'll start meeting around noon, then head out for "The Loop" at 12:30.

I think it is a better idea to meet at the park and begin the drive from there. This will prevent confusion.

Holly, do we need to bring the desserts??

Holly,
I emailed you directly, but never received a response. I'm sure you've been busy planning this event.
As I mentioned in my email I have made some souvenir dash plaques and a few wall-plaques for
this event. Having never seen it's name mentioned, I simply assigned this event the the title of:
"Motoring the Loop" and have labeled the awards this way. I don't know how many folks are attending,
so I made 100 pieces. If you'll be needing more, just let me know. = )
-- I'm unsure If I'll be able to attend the event as my Mini may be in surgery at the stereo shop. If
this proves to be the case, perhaps I can meet up with someone in the Daytona Beach area who is
planning to attend who will deliver the plaques to you. -- Lastly, anything else I can do to help with
the event please let me know. After all, promoting automotive events is my job. = )

Regards,
- Jim -- jim@daytonatrophy.com

Gleep,
It's a state park so no alcohol. No drinking and motoring.

Hi everyone,

We will be attending on Sat. I just saw this really cool idea for the 3rd brake light. Vinyl is plased over the 3rd brake light with any message shinning through. I am attaching pics. Total cost installed $10. Also attached is a pic of my sunroof. Anything can be printed and installed. Your imagination is my canvas. I have stock photos to chose from as well. This doubles up the shading with the factory shade. Sunroof printed and installed cost is $235. Email or call me with orders and/or questions. I can do installs on Sat. weather permitting.

See ya Sat.!

Welcome to MCO! Yea, all you have to do is show up. I believe we will be meeting at 12:00 Saturday afternoon. No need to bring anything except maybe a camera to take some cool MINI pics and a two way radio. A lot of us carry these radios so we can talk to each other during the drive, not required but helpful. See ya Saturday.

ArtSharks, I'll want to talk to you Saturday. I currently have a roof decal but I might want to do something different. I'll talk to you then.

Thank you soooo much, now the challenge is finding the park! I'm so excited, I just got my mini a couple of weeks ago, haven't had a chance to make it look like my own yet, but no worries,I plan on getting lots of ideas this weekend!! Is everyone staying at a specific hotel? I'm thinking about the Days INN that was mentioned earlier, but if anyone has a better idea, just let me know! Once again I'm very very excited about this weekend hope everyone has a blast!

I'm really looking forward to this! Art sharks, I'm definitely interested in one of the brake light vinyls, check your PM.

Speaking of brake lights, is there going to be anyone attending who can do the brake light mod to my car?

Any plans for the evening yet???

I believe Bruce (nobull60) will be there. He does the 1 and 4 wire splice (no-jerry-rig) method very nicely. If he's not there, I'll do it.
