Spotted thread

I think we need a little more activity in the Florida thread.

I was riding with a pepper white Cooper S with JCW aero package and a yellow Cooper S Sunday heading towards Royal Palm Beach.

Next time I'll snap some pictures.

This thread seems to be always dead. It would be nice with some more action. I know there is sunshinemins website but lets get this one going too. I will try to start posting car I spot.

I didn't expect it to pick up anytime soon. I just started it yesterday. I should have snapped some pics of the other cooper S pepper white yesterday but I was too busy doing ricer fly bys in third. Gotta show off the tune to someone.

This is me by the way. Carbon fiber parts, no stickers, usually have loud rock music playing from car.

Met the owner last night who came into Howleys. Very nice couple I met. Between the both of them they have had 6 mini's. Told him about NAM because he was looking to replace a OEM part. I'll snap more pictures as I see them.

I just got rid of my all blacked out countryman with spice orange accents and went back to a Spice Orange R56 JCW. No pics really yet.

I only got the CM cause we had a son and his car seat didn't fit well inside the R56, so I went with the R60 and now he is almost 2 and he is facing forward and fits back into the R56.

Now the Spice Orange is my new one, the countryman was in traffic in US 41 and Daniels on Sat in Ft Myers and the funniest thing is I pulled into my work parking lot this morning and the pepper white one is sitting there and actually it is my old 2010 Pepper White called Jax. I still love that car!!!

That's funny you still see your older cars driving around town. Out of all my cars I've only seen them on the road again once. One was after it was totalled too!

This is actually the first and only car I have seen rolling around town afterwards this much.

I might drive to Ft. Myers to pick up a JCW carbon hood scoop this weekend. I'll be sure to get some.

Yes I did. I bought a JCW carbon hood scoop from another member here. I saw a cooper S made to look like a GP this weekend but it drove by me too fast to take a pic. It's probably because I don't know my way around Ft Myers at all but I found the town very boring and about 20 years behind compared to Palm Beach. I had lunch at that still water place. The shrimp fried rice and house salad wasn't bad at all. 48 beers on tap to boot.

Yeah it's pretty behind around here. Stillwater is right down the road from my house. East coast is a lot more fun. I will be over to Ft Lauderdale this Saturday for Minis of Miamis Spring Roll.

Have fun. I'll be interested to see if more people show up compared to their pics last year.

Rally

Hey everyone, I live in Fort Myers and noticed you guys wondering about activity in this area. There is a Mini Rally going on this weekend at Mini of Fort Myers. I got an email from them recently. I tried to attach the image of their invite to the post, so hopefully you can see it. It is Saturday, April 19th at 10am. They plan on having everyone drive through downtown, towards the beach, and stop somewhere then free lunch will be provided at the dealership. I think it is all to introduce a new Mini model, the F56. I also think they are asking everyone to RSVP since they are providing food, though I'm sure they will plan for extras. Anyway, I'll be there. Hope to see others from around here!

Yes I am already going. I am actually the person who runs SWFL MINI group. We are working with Ft Myers Mini in putting on the event.

Nice work. Too bad they made no mention of it being hosted with SWFL Mini. Perhaps they will at the actual event. That would be some good PR! I thought the mini group in SWFL was "SWFL Miniacs" and there was nothing on there about it. I figured the local Mini club was just very inactive. I just found you on Facebook, though. I guess you have it set up as a person and not a group/page which is likely why I ignored it in the past.

Long story on the name of the SWFL MINI Group but it is actually SWFL MINI and not miniacs. Yeah I have never been to great with facebook, so in the beginning it was set up as a person. Helps eliminate people who dont live in the area.
